Book One (blurb)

The herald of a new age looms just beyond the shadows in the Rithlands...

In the city of Malon, the Fel suffer a devastating attack that leaves their capital in near ruin. Amid the chaos, an orphan flees the city with Kaspar Thesmare- a Ranger in Malon- and an envoy from the Church of Mercy. As they travel across the Eastern Plains in search of aid, the trio encounters a swampland hermit who’s spent lifetimes mastering arts forbidden and thought to be long forgotten…

In the mountain kingdom Bemton, a prodigal knight named Hutch Myermarch rises swiftly in the ranks and prepares to become the youngest Captain in his order’s history. The young knight is grateful for his success but soon finds himself in command of five squires that test his abilities and put his leadership into question. But it’s Hutch’s mysterious past that will become the greatest trial the young knight must face during his service in the Bemton Militia...

And in the West, across the seas of the Blue Bell lies the enormous frozen lands of Novendaal- home of the Kingdom Eternal, Ivoria. Three years have passed since the seven year war had ended between the Bemton and Ivorian kingdoms, leaving both sides wary of the other’s next move. During those years of relative peace in the Rithlands, King Theydon spent his days rebuilding his kingdom and his nights mourning the passing of those he lost in the Reclamation War.
The Ivorians had also lost a great deal during the seven year war, but King Josev and what remained of his family, had no tears left to shed for their fallen brothers and sisters. While the king marshalls his forces for another long war with the Rithlands, a strange traveller from the wilderness emerges and leads him to an arcane device of immense and frightening power…

With the spectre of a seven year war behind them, a new age begins for the people of these unforgiving and beautiful lands.
Their stories begin where all have began…

In the ages, neverending. ____________________________ A brief outline of the basic plot of the first act of Book One (or a 'blurb' as they are sometimes called). As stated before in the introductory post, all of the writing is being drafted and will likely see changes before anything would be considered final.
